Quality from the outset

The growing demands on the quality of tools, and the increasing stresses they are exposed to, require maximum quality - not only of the material, but also of pre-machining operations and final heat treatment.

A Quality Management System to DIN EN ISO 9001 was introduced at Thyssen Edelstahl Service as long ago as 1994. This time-proven system has been retained by Deutsche Edelstahlwerke Härterei Technik GmbH and will in future be continuously expanded.

All workpieces are labelled with a bar code for identification and photographed upon receipt. The process workflows are documented and archived with the help of a computer system. This permits constant and, above all, repeatable quality. That is our contribution to guaranteeing an uninterrupted quality assurance chain, from the starting material to the finished product.

Care is our top priority

Careful checks during and after treatment guarantee consistently high quality. The following tests are performed in our in-house laboratory:

  • Hardness testing by various methods
  • Microscopic and macroscopic examination
  • Spectral analysis

The qualification and commitment of our staff, responsibility towards our customers and the environment, and systematic quality planning ensure that first-class quality - the guiding principle of our corporate philosophy - is maintained at all times.

Thanks to consistent realisation of these targets, our company has been succesfully certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
